The Appearing
Site-specific installation, mixed media, Watou Arts Festival, Watou (BE), 2010, room-filling set-up
The installation consists of the projection of a curtain which covers a door and wall. Pieces of patterned wallpaper have been cut up and straightened. Light filters through a window covered with wallpaper and penetrates the space also through the gap where a fireplace was ripped out. The light lightly touches the uneven wall covered with dust.
