Site-specific photographic installation placed in the wooden window frame of a private house, inkjet print
mounted on MDF Ghent (Belgium), 2008,165 x 199 cm

The image, inserted as a missing piece in the house’s façade, is a registration of the space behind the window.
It is a mirrored fragment of the fireplace that still exists in its original state. Just as an old mirror becomes
translucent with age and lets light fall through it instead of reflecting it, this image penetrates from the inside to
the outside, insisting against the glass.
